Aaron: In my opinion, people go steady because they want to have a strong, serious and firm relationship with the person theywant to be with (usually the opposite sex),not the kind of relationship in which either of the two people would easily break up. People go steady usually at the age of 21-30 for guys when they have a stable income, at the age of probably 19-24 for girls when perhaps they have matured and have become demure and gentle.If we were to go steady at a young age, we may devote ourself to her/him instead of focusing on our studies.
